Absolutely not. Ludicrous.

I wish! I was at the Brooklyn Bridge Park and Tudor City. You couldn't see squat at the Tudor City filming by camera. It didn't matter, I was just thrilled to see them. The only scene where we could vaguely make out what they were saying was Brooklyn Bridge Park and they said some different things (probably to fill in for the cut).

My husband and I went into the city on the rehearsal day, and I had just missed them doing the rehearsing, so I decided to go back the next day on my own -- even though I had a bad case of tonsillitis and could hardly eat. I'm in Harrisburg, so I'm three hours away from the city, but it was worth it.

I got to Central Park right as they got done filming the picnic scenes, and the crew was lying and said they were done for the day. I was so crushed. But, I was checking Twitter as I was leaving the park, and they were spotted at Bow Bridge, so I went back and hit jackpot. I was there from the bridge filming all the way back to the fountain (again) and watched until filming ended that day. I got to see quite a bit, and Matt Smith even came within a couple feet of me when he filmed the scene of running over the bridge that was at the end of the episode. He smelled nice. ^_^ When you watch the Entertainment Weekly clip of the filming at the park, you can even see me in the crowd. During the filming of Rory carrying the coffee, I slipped around to get a better view and wound up sitting behind Matt and Karen for a bit. I also managed to capture a cute bit where Karen was filming stuff for the website Confidential stuff and Arthur sneaked up and scared her. The final park scene they filmed was the Doctor reading the letter at the end of the episode. Moffat joined them for that.

It was really nice until school let out and the park was overrun by teenagers and young college kids who would not listen to the production crew's pleas to get out of camera shot. The older fans who had been there earlier were extremely polite by contrast. The paparazzi was horrific and wouldn't allow the fans to even get close at first. Once they left was when I actually got some good shots.

They filmed in Times Square after Central Park, but I was so tired at that point that I just headed back to the train for the trip home. But, I'm so glad I went! Ironically, I got to meet Moffat at the Sherlock event three weeks later.

I was on the way back from a trip and passing through NYC that day, but with a big suitcase, I wasn't in the mood to go all the way to the Park for it. I live on Long Island.

I went the next day. Brooklyn Bridge Park we went on a whim and were lucky, because we nearly gave up after two hours of stalking around, we found some security guard and asked about filmings in the park and he said 'I don't know, some show called Doctor Who...they were supposed to start at 3, but it got post-poned'...we found the catering truck and sat in Starbucks...where the film crew came in and we noticed some people.

We actually went hunting again, and saw Karen. My friend and I were whispering: HOMG! It's Karen...you can't miss that hair, it's so ginger!

The Park was small...10 fans at most and there was a father and his son there, the kid had a Sonic Screwdriver and a few people from the film crew came over and spoke to them and stuff. Matt and Karen actually walked past us and said: Hi. My friends and I were all gobsmacked and also said 'hi', but could barely move. I didn't notice if they smelled nice or not, I was too 'OMG, Matt and Karen were inches from me!'

We then went to Tudor City, which was a zoo. It was hard to see anything, but Matt, Karen and Arthur came out to thank the fans for the support and Arthur was in all his glory taking pictures of us. I think they were really amazed that so many people showed up for an evening shoot...it was already getting chilly at that point, about 8 PM...and they were filming until 1 AM. They did the scene where Garner drives and walks to Winter Quay. Rory being zapped (probably to Winter Quay, which got cut) and River driving and Amy and the Doctor running to get Rory at Winter Quay. It was Tudor City, not Battery Park as said in the episode.

My camera died after Brooklyn Bridge Park, I forgot to charge my camera.

Awesome!! They were really nice the first day as well, and a bit shocked at the turnout. Matt kept taking pictures and video of us as well. I don't think they've ever had to deal with a crowd quite like this. I wish they had flown Alex out as well, because the so-called stand-in they got for her was ridiculous. That and I just want to meet Alex. ^_~

Yeah. I do too. I'm secretly hoping that she'll be at Gally or I'll run into her at some point.

We were hoping that Alex would be there. I wasn't there with the stand-in. I couldn't even see into the car to see the stand-in, it was just too dark at that point.

Someone got a photo and put it on Twitter. The stand-in was a man in a curly wig! Oh, come on! I'm sure you could have asked any woman in the crowd to pretend to be Alex and they'd gladly volunteer.

I know someone who is Alex's height and naturally has blonde curly hair, but it her curls are too loose.

I um ... have an hourglass figure under the fat? Yeah, that's all I got. *pokes at my brown hair* I also have a better wig than the stand-in did because I dressed as River for Halloween and a con here.

Haha, yeah...I'm short...with right now, ginger hair...and a bit smaller all around...I cosplay as Amy, but sometimes as River. I curled my own wig and I say it looks pretty damn good.

Sadly my thighs are a bit too big for Amy, but oh well...
