Here's some additional spoilery thoughts: Skyfall: Taking… - Do you believe in fate?
Absolutely not. Ludicrous.

Here's some additional spoilery thoughts:

Skyfall: Taking Bond to his childhood home and then destroying it.  They're tearing down his foundation, possibly even breaking all past connections symbolically.  Like his childhood home, he loses his foundation and anchor to MI6.  The passing of M.

It's now building up to classic Bond in a way, we have a male M, Moneypenny is back and we also see the return of Q.

Also, we indeed find out that Bond's name is in fact Bond, as we see the Bond family cemetery featuring the gave of his parents, Andrew and Monique Delacroix Bond.

And that's all I can think of.

I was so devastated by M's death, I was totally unspoiled so that was a shock . I love Judi Dench as M, let's see how's it going to be with Ralph Fienes. But I'll sure miss udi Dench.

And I agree with you they are cutting the connections to his past and bringing him to the "Connery" basics. Though there's no DB5 unless the Q branch reconstructs it. Or maybe it was their way of saying "we're bringing Q, Moneypenny and a male M but don't think this is going to be Connery's Bond", just like Q says, "What were you expecting an exploding pen? We don't go for that anymore"

Truly I'm in love with this movie :))

We should have known they were going to replace her mostly because as amazing and fierce as Judi Dench is, it was probably hard for her to keep the role going.

They know the less is more and it's working for new Bond. I think more logical gadgets work, like the radio and gun.
